This week we been read-watching a movie called 'Meet the Robinsons'.
It is about an orphan inventor boy called Lewis who creates many different machines, 2 of which allow him to travel into the future and look into the past. He has great adventures along the way and meets some interesting characters.
Your task is to imagine you have a time machine.
- where would you go in the future?
- why would you go there?
- where would you go in the past?
- why would you go there?
- what might the positives be?
- what might the negatives be?
- is there anybody in particular you would like to see?
You must tell us the year that you are traveling to. For example:
Future Year = 2050
I would like to visit the year 2050 and see where I am at that time. I want to know what my occupation is, if I am still a teacher in Papatoetoe. I will be 76 years old so maybe I'd be retired.
Past Year = 1939
I would travel back to the year 1939 and visit Scotland. I would like to see the water horse and ride on it. The negative might be that it could eat me though! It would be an interesting time.

ReplyDeleteIf I would have a time machine first I would go and visit my own future in 2030.
I would go to my own future because I want to see what kind of job I do and what kind of a family would I have.
If I would ever go to the past I would have gone to world war two in 1939.
I would go to world war two because then I would have learned about the history of our old ancestors that died in the battle of our home country’s.
The positive things that might happen is that if I ever get a history test I will pass the test because I will have all the information I need to pass it.
The negative things will be that I will obviously die in the middle of the fight and may be get clobbered under the big war tanks.
If I would want to see anyone that will be my grandfather that fought and lived when he fought in the war.

I would go to the year 2021 to see if I made it into the Arsenal squad. I would also see what position I play because I would work on that position so I would be better in the future at that position.
Past Year: 2000
I would go to the day I was born and go to a dairy to get a newspaper. In the newspaper I want to see my horoscope on that day. I always wanted to know my horoscope because horoscopes are quite interesting.

In the past I would like to go to back to 1999 to see my elder sister when she was 2 years old because she was a premature baby. I also want to see how my mum had looked at that time.

I would like to see what the future has brought to earth and how my great,great grand children looked like and how they respected my great grand children(their parents).
The positive is I get to see the future and the negative is my great,great children won't know me.
Past=When earth was created
I would like see how earth was made from scratch and to get some prior knowledge of earth.The positive will be is I will have lots of knowledge of earth and the negative is I might get killed from the explosive volcanos.

ReplyDeleteThe year I want to go to is 2070 to see dancing robots, flying spaceships or floating in bubbles . I also want to see what people do for a living and how big the buildings are. But if I get seen I could get in trouble.
Another thing I want to do is go to the past to 2000 to see when I was born then change alot of things and see if it affects the future and if it does it could ruin everything.
