Good Morning Room 19,
So we are now well into the group stages of the tournament and so far there have been no great upsets... apart from one. The plucky Irish took on and defeated a lackluster Australian side on Saturday night, beating them by a margin of 15 points to 6.
Robbie Deans' lads will need to have a good look at themselves and raise their game if they are to stand any chance of progressing beyond the group stages. Thankfully for them though, the USA will be less likely to pose the same threat as Ireland. Samoa came close to beating Wales but the boys from the valleys did enough, winning by a converted try at the death whilst France cruised past their Canadian rivals.
Looking ahead however, the game that everyone in Aotearoa is talking about is Saturday's clash which sees the All Blacks take on France. There is a great history between these two sides and France have a habit of disrupting Kiwi world cup dreams. What will this year hold? Your task is to research and analyse the fixture:

ReplyDeleteI think the All Blacks will win this match on Saturday with the French team because the France first five, Francois Trinh got dropped into scrum half when he was amazing at first five. The person that took his spot was Morgan Parra who had never started a match at first five. Lets see what happens.
One reason I think France will beat the All blacks because All Blacks first five has a very bad back injury that could really be a problem for the men in the black jersey.
Some key players in this game are people like Maxard Midar the winger who is very fast and can burn our team like we are snail. It is unlikely they will win.
The score I think is going to be is 41-10 to the All blacks because the French have a slow forward team.
The game is on Saturday 24th September 8.30pm 2011 Auckland (Eden Park).
One ways I would take is a train to Wellington, a ferry to Blenheim, train to Christchurch. That is good and bad because the positives are that you can spend time with your mates. The bad thing is it will cost over $450 dollars. When we go back we will get a train to Blenheim, take a ferry to Wellington, train to Eden Park to give the French players a taste of our agility.

Daniel William Carter was born on 5 March 1982 in Southbridge, a small town in the South Island of New Zealand, to Neville and Bev Carter.[5] He attended Ellesmere College and Christchurch Boys High School. Dan has one older sister, Sarah.
